Experience
Most recently, Jordi was Regional Tax Director at a French cosmetics company, covering the South Asia, Pacific, Middle East and North Africa (SAPMENA) zone, leading a team of more than 20 tax professionals across 15 countries and 13 time zones. Before that, he was Global Head of Tax at an international business school, and Senior Tax Manager at a French liquor and spirits company, first in Paris managing direct taxes globally, then in Singapore covering Asia Pacific, Treasury, and Global Travel Retail.
Before moving in-house in 2013, Jordi spent nearly 10 years in tax advisory at a Big 4 firm, including three years in Hong Kong and two in Shanghai serving French clients investing in Asia Pacific, and Asian companies investing in France or Africa. Earlier still, he spent three years with the same firm in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, playing a key role in setting up and developing its practice there, growing the office to become the number two Big 4 firm in the country by revenue within two years.
Recognition and involvement
Jordi was Chairman of the Tax Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Singapore from 2019 to 2022, and lectures in international tax at the Master in International Business Law at the University of Montpellier.
He is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), and was previously a member of the Tax Executives Institute (TEI) Asia Chapter. He has contributed articles to publications including Tax Notes International, International Tax Review, and Journal des Sociétés.
Jordi is also an Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP).
Education and languages
Master of Laws (LL.M.) / DESS Droit du Commerce International, International Business Law, Trade Law and Tax Law, University of Montpellier, France (graduated first in class).
Fluent in French (native), English, and Spanish, with limited working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
